Before the Boy's Festival, the annual "Carp streamer festival" has begun at Tsuetate Onsen in Oguni Town, Kumamoto Prefecture, with approximately 3,000 carp streamers flying up.

For more than 40 years, the local tourism association has held the ``Carp Streamer Festival'' every year at Tsuetate Onsen, where 3,000 carp streamers are hung on both banks of the Tsuetate River for the enjoyment of tourists.

On the first day, a ritual was held to pray for the healthy growth of the children.

Carp streamers were strung up for about 800 meters, and visitors were able to take photos of the colorful carp streamers swimming energetically in the breeze under the blue sky.

A woman who came from Fukuoka Prefecture with her 5-year-old son said, ``It feels great to be able to see so many carp streamers on a sunny day.I want my son to grow up healthy and healthy.''

The carp streamer festival will be held until May 6th, and there will also be a light-up event from 7pm to 10pm.
