China News Service, Xiongan, April 2, Title: 7th Anniversary of the Establishment of Xiongan New Area: "Eye of Xiongan" Glimpses into the Development of the New City

China News Service reporter Chen Lin

From "a blank piece of paper" to "the beginning of majesty", on the occasion of the 7th anniversary of the establishment of Xiongan New Area, reporters from China News Service once again walked into this hot land and had a glimpse of the future of the new city through "three eyes".

Baiyangdian here has mirror-like blue waves and green willows on the shore. From time to time, the residents of the water town pass by in small wooden boats, making ripples on the water again and again.

Baiyangdian is in Xiongan, just like West Lake is in Hangzhou. This new city, more than 100 kilometers south of Beijing, has been embedded in an ecological background of blue and green. Baiyangdian Lake, with 143 connected lakes and thousands of ditches and waterways, is the largest freshwater lake in the North China Plain and is like a huge "ecological eye". As if protecting their eyes, the local area has carried out the largest ecological restoration and management of Baiyangdian Lake in history in recent years.

When I was young, I went boating and fishing with my brother on a rainy day in the lake. The water splashing when we closed the net blended with the rain, and the green water plants were like oil paintings... This is the deep heart of Yang Bingjun, the representative inheritor of the reed painting technique, an intangible cultural heritage of Hebei Province. , the most beautiful memory of Baiyangdian. "The water was so clear at that time, and it has become clear again after treatment over the years."

After systematic ecological management, the water quality of Baiyangdian Lake has been stabilized from worse than Category V to Category III, and it has entered the ranks of good lakes in the country. Rare birds such as blue-headed pochards have also changed from migratory birds in the past to "settling down".

Yang Bingjun, who "grew up drinking Baiyangdian water", is now in his sixties, presenting these new changes through reed paintings. His works also add new materials such as the blue-headed pochard and the "Eye of Xiong'an" to the traditional content of Dianbo scenery and people living on the water.

The Xiongan City Computing Center, which has an arched appearance, is called the "Eye of Xiongan" by netizens because it blends with the reflection in the water surface of the landscape in front and looks like a smart eye from a distance. In front of the door are the eight characters "Xiong'an Eyes See the Future".

Two years ago, Liu Yao, who hoped to see a bright future for himself, resigned from another place and came to Xiongan. He is currently the cloud computing director of Xiongan City Computing Center. The 34-year-old said frankly that he did not catch up with Shenzhen and Pudong back then, and he did not want to miss Xiongan again.

Xiongan is the first city in China to realize the simultaneous construction of digital and real cities across the entire territory. There are three cities here: above ground, underground, and in the cloud. From the sensors on the light poles on both sides of the street to the gas pipe network in the newly built area, everything is connected to the "Xiong'an Eye" on the cloud.

Liu Yao likened the "Eye of Xiong'an" to the "basic resources such as land and water resources" of the city above the clouds. He said that as the infrastructure support of the city on the cloud, "Xiong'an Eye" is an important carrier of digital twin city operation services, providing network, computing, and other services for big data, blockchain, Internet of Things, AI, VR/AR, etc. Storage services.

Liu Yao, who works in the "Eye of Xiongan", can also deeply feel the changes in the new district through the big screen: many parks, buildings, and roads have been built, and there are more people and cars on the road than before. , and there are more colleges and universities.”

Opposite the "Xiong'an Eye", there are many buildings such as the Intelligent Network Building and the Sky Information Building, with people coming in and out from time to time. Focusing on creating an innovation highland and a hot spot for entrepreneurship in the new era, Xiongan is planning to promote two main innovation chains: promoting aerospace information and satellite Internet innovation, and unblocking collaborative innovation among universities.

Passing through the Intelligent Network Building, there is a huge sundial "Eye of Time" standing quietly among the grass, with the words "Millennium Plan" and "City of the Future" engraved on it. Qi Xiaoyue, a 12-year-old primary school student, is taking pictures here with her mother. He said that his father first came to work here a few years ago, and later his mother also came to work. When the family moved to Xiongan last year, he also transferred to the school here.

It is understood that sundials measure time by measuring the shadow of the sun, and human perception of time first originated from the sun.

Looking at the child in front of the sundial, Qi Xiaoyue's mother said that behind the family's relocation was hope for a better future in the "city of the future." "Not only our generation, we also hope that children can have a better future." (End)
