“Crime Scene” scene: survival trip in the forest

Three mothers from middle-class Bremen-Schwachhausen go on a survival trip in the forest, one of them drowns in a puddle the next day. In short flashbacks, the Bremen "crime scene" told on Monday how the death came about - and how the women, who were actually friends, made each other's lives hell.

It was about sadism, competitiveness and neglect of wealth among people who actually tried to display their sophistication, their altruism and their mindfulness at every opportunity. Inspector Moormann (Jasna Fritzi Bauer) and colleague Selb (Luise Wolfram) had some of the clichés they have about well-heeled eco-moms confirmed.

In our review we wrote: "The problem is that the strict plot is repeatedly undermined by the filmmakers sending a number of other characters from the Schwachhausen environment into the dark woods at will: a husband who has an affair with another mother. The mothers' children, who in turn observe the secret lovers. A psychopath who lurks in the thicket. And of course cell phones were also smuggled into the forest against all agreements. Soon the supposedly lonely wilderness will be swarming and buzzing like a fair.”

We gave it 3 out of 10. What do you think of the crime thriller?

Three years ago, the young investigative team at the Bremen “Tatort” started out as a trio. In addition to Luise Wolfram and Jasna Fritzi Bauer, the Danish actor and “Game of Thrones” actor was also part of the Weser area. But after it became clear that he couldn't be a "crime scene" detective and an international television star at the same time, he turned his back on the German crime series. Dar Salim can currently be seen in Guy Ritchie's action comedy "The Gentlemen" on Netflix.
