The large-scale tourism campaign ``Fukuoka/Oita Destination Campaign'' has begun, and in Yufu City, Oita Prefecture, the popular ``Tsujiba'' vehicles have been newly installed in anticipation of a large number of tourists visiting.
The "Fukuoka/Oita Destination Campaign" is being held by Fukuoka and Oita prefectures in collaboration with the JR Group, and various events will be held for three months until June to promote the charm of the region nationwide.
On the 1st, a new horse-drawn carriage was unveiled in front of JR Yufuin Station, which is crowded with tourists.
The new vehicles, manufactured by a Polish manufacturer, had a beautiful and calming atmosphere with shiny wood, and tourists were able to take photos and create memories of their trips.
A man visiting from Kagawa said, ``It was really big and I wanted to ride it. 2 nights and 3 days wasn't enough, so I want to come again.''
After this, the horse-drawn carriages began running, carrying local children and others.
Mitsuhiro Tomita of the Yufuin Onsen Tourism Association said, ``We want people to relax and enjoy themselves while listening to the sound of the horses' hooves.We hope that many people will come.''
