He would like to become an influencer again, says Stefan Raab. So one of those internet personalities who promote certain lifestyles - and market the right products for a fee. The former moderator says this in a video on the Instagram platform, where influencers hang out. It was the first post in five and a half years and only the second ever. A sensation in itself, you could say. And then there was this ominous announcement that was supposed to come.

Anyway, in this video, his eternal show intern Elton rows across an emerald green mountain lake in search of his eternal boss. He finds him on the bank, fishing rod in hand, binoculars, transistor radio and Opinel on the folding table. TV pensioner life. Raab can only be seen from behind, but his voice fits. So Elton now wants to persuade him to make a comeback. And Raab says: "When I have nine million followers, then I'll do something again." And the general excitement was perfect.

This video has since been viewed more than 60 million times. By the deadline on Easter Monday, however, there were only 2.9 million followers. But the entertainment professionals were prepared for that too. In a second video, Elton sets off again, delivers the bad news ("Stefan, unfortunately it didn't quite work out, but we're close") and also has a plan B ready: How about a third boxing match against Regina Halmich? Hmm, Raab asks whether the former world champion will have time on September 14th? She can, says Elton after a one-sided phone conversation. It remains to be seen whether Raab took the bait.

And now?

Raab retired from television as a presenter in 2015, but continued to work behind the scenes as a program developer. A return to the camera would be the TV comeback of the year. If there is anything to the announcement. Finally, the release of the second video also falls on April Fools' Day. In any case, Raab double winner Halmich shared the video on Instagram.

It's definitely the best advertisement for Raab's latest venture. At the beginning of the year it was announced that the long-time presenter of “TV Total” and “Schlag den Raab” had co-founded a new production company. Raab Entertainment will open its doors on January 1st, announced the new managing director and long-time ProSieben and Sat.1 station boss Daniel Rosemann. Regarding the company profile, a job advertisement on LinkedIn said: "Raab Entertainment produces moving image content for all broadcasters, platforms and customers; we are creative and hands-on." The company develops "concepts and ideas that are unique." Will a third Halmich vs. Raab boxing match be included?

Tickets for the “Final Fight” are scheduled to go on sale on Monday.
