In Kawasaki City, where emergency dispatches are concentrated during daytime hours due to population growth, a ``Daytime Ambulance Squad'' specializing in daytime activities began operating on April 1st.

According to the Kawasaki City Fire Department, the number of emergency calls continues to increase as the city's population increases, and in the year before yesterday, the number of calls during the day from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. was 1.8 times that at night. The number reached over 46,000.

In order to respond to the increasing number of calls during the day, the Nakahara Fire Department, which has jurisdiction over the area surrounding Musashi-Kosugi Station, will have a new "Daytime Emergency Squad" established from April 1st, which will operate only during daytime hours. I did.

At the launch ceremony, Captain Chiori Kishinori received a sticker with the team's logo to be attached to an ambulance, and then received an instruction from Chief Tomoko Kumagai, saying, ``I want you to work on improving citizen services.''

Daytime emergency teams have already been introduced by the Tokyo Fire Department and other institutions, and the Kawasaki City Fire Department plans to increase the number by one more team next year at fire stations in neighboring wards.

Chief Kumagai said, ``As the warm days continue and the tourist season begins, there will be more opportunities to go out and drink alcohol, so there is a possibility that the number of injuries will increase.I want everyone to use emergency services in a timely and appropriate manner.'' I did.
