“It is advisable to drink a glass or two of water after waking up, and 20-30 minutes after you wake up, breakfast should come. Breakfast should be quite hearty and satisfying. It is imperative that there are some complex carbohydrates. This doesn’t have to be porridge; it can also be, for example, oatmeal or whole grain toast,” she emphasized.

Pisareva clarified that protein should be present in breakfast.

“It could be an egg or cottage cheese. Eggs are best digested, but eating eggs every day is not recommended, that is, breakfasts should be slightly different, plus or minus, every day. Next are healthy fats: nuts, various seeds. If you have some kind of whole grain toast, you can add avocado there. If you don’t have an avocado or a nut, it can be any raw oil,” the nutritionist explained.

The doctor thinks that you shouldn’t drink breakfast.

“If you drink coffee, then you should drink it after breakfast, somewhere around at least 30-40 minutes. And it’s better to drink coffee without milk, maybe with vegetable milk, without adding various syrups. And it’s best to replace coffee with chicory, or drink some kind of herbal invigorating tea,” concluded RT’s interlocutor.
