This competition, now in its 25th year, is held every year by NHK and NHK Gakuen, and this year, approximately 38,000 works were submitted from ages 4 to 107, and three haiku were selected for the grand prize. .

This poem describes the joy of that moment.

``Eating is so much fun, baby swallow'' by Mr. Ishihara Yoshio (81) of Saitama Prefecture is a poem about the joy he felt watching the swallows that come to his friend's house every year to eat. is.
