Zhao Jiaming delivered a speech at the opening ceremony, saying that both the Shanghai International Film Festival and the Busan International Film Festival have important influence in the industry and have contributed to jointly promoting Asian films to the world. This time, we carefully selected 5 masterpieces of movies produced in Shanghai for screening. These films show the unique Chinese culture and wonderful Shanghai stories from different aspects. It is also hoped that these films can help Korean audiences better understand a true, comprehensive and three-dimensional China.
Chen Ribiao said that the Busan Shanghai Film Festival will focus on screening a number of outstanding Chinese films, which will play a positive role in further deepening the sister-city relationship between Busan and Shanghai and enhancing mutual understanding and friendship between the people of China and South Korea.
Yin Daoxuan expressed his belief that the excellent Chinese films screened at the Busan Shanghai Film Festival can help Korean audiences further understand and experience Chinese culture and create emotional resonance.
The "2024 Busan Shanghai Film Festival" will be held at Busan CGV Cinema from March 30 to April 8, screening "Flying Life", "Flying Life 2", "The Unfamiliar Life", "Chang'an 30,000 Miles" and "The Myth of Love" 5 films, each screened twice. (over)
