Military expert Brigadier General Elias Hanna said that the Palestinian resistance in the Gaza Strip adopts the "regional fighting" method and does not go to a decisive and comprehensive battle, but rather chooses the appropriate time and place, which gives it the greatest amount of investment and success with the least means.

This came in a military analysis by Al Jazeera, commenting on the Israeli army’s admission that one of its soldiers was killed and 16 other soldiers from the Egoz unit were injured, including 6 seriously wounded, in battles in the southern Gaza Strip.

The Al-Qassam Brigades - the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) - said this afternoon, Friday, that it had targeted occupation soldiers with a TPG shell in a house in the vicinity of Nasser Hospital, west of Khan Yunis in the besieged sector, killing and wounding them.

In his speech, Brigadier General Hanna pointed out that - in the stage preceding the current stage - the 98th Division was participating in the battles with an entire brigade of special forces, including the “Egoz” unit, and it suffered various losses, which means that these forces have no immunity in the fighting in the sector.

He pointed out that the occupation forces were forced to withdraw from the areas after announcing the end of their military operations there and then return again, as in the Al-Qarara area, but when they returned to those areas, the factor of surprise by the resistance became greater and stronger than it was the first time.

Regarding the continuation of resistance operations and their effectiveness, the military expert said that it is important to emphasize that the resistance forces prepared for the worst scenarios expected after the “Al-Aqsa Flood,” including their adoption of “regional combat,” where they push their groups into each region separately, to thwart the goals of the occupation operations there.
