Booba takes his first steps as an actor in his own series “Ourika”, available since Thursday March 28 on Prime Video. So what is this fiction about, the plot of which takes place in 2005, just after the deaths of Zyed Benna and Bouna Traoré? 

A new event series has just arrived on Prime Video and it’s from Booba! The rapper co-wrote and produced the fiction

 Ourika,

in which he plays the role of a boss. The plot takes place in 2005, while the French suburbs are set ablaze following the deaths of Zyed Benna and Bouna Traoré during a police check.

An explosive synopsis

The two young people were electrocuted while trying to escape. In the cities, anger is brewing. The Jebli family, which reigns supreme in cannabis trafficking, sees its clan explode after a drug raid. Moussa (Salim Kechiouche) is incarcerated. His little brother Driss (Adam Bessa) is forced to take over the family business even though he had moved away from delinquency and was planning a career in finance. William (Noham Edje), a very ambitious rookie cop, wants to get his life. The destinies of the young cop and the young thug then find themselves linked... 

Booba bursts the screen

Booba absolutely wanted his series to be as realistic as possible. He therefore wrote it with Clément Godard, a former drug cop. The result is there: the scenes of chases and clashes between thugs are never caricatures. Booba breaks the screen in his role as boss. Alas, sensitive souls may have to refrain, the series being particularly violent...
