I often hear young people being scolded (although was it ever otherwise). The problem of fathers and children - “in our time...” - seems to never go away.

We think that all young people can do is gather in shopping centers and get stuck in gadgets. It’s as if they don’t like to read and can’t see beyond their own noses, they snarl, dress strangely, dye their hair unnaturally bright colors...

And then something happens. Not always good, but always indicative. And our youth, the same snotty and still angular boys and girls, forgetting about everything and even about their own safety, show themselves at their best.

Several years ago, a student who did not want fame paid off the debt of an orphanage in Maykop - she was saving money for a car. 11-year-old Fedor from Bryansk saved two girls during an attack by saboteurs - he himself was wounded, he took the first-graders away from the shelling. Many guys rescue their peers and younger children when they drown or fall through the ice. And of course, the wardrobe heroes from Crocus, collected and coordinated, brought hundreds of people out from the shooting and fire.

None of them thought about attention from the media, none of them wanted to become famous. It’s just that the guys were human even in those moments when it’s not easy for adults either.

We say that civil society is being revived in the country, and perhaps this is affecting our children, although perhaps it’s the other way around.

A generation of brave and pure children, who cannot do otherwise, sets an example for us.

If children are our reflection, which mirrors what adults are, and we don’t like this reflection, then we need to start with ourselves. But, apparently, not all is lost. And now we, adults, should meet the expectations of the young and be equal to them.
