A 25-year-old member of the Takarazuka Revue has died, and the bereaved family alleges that there was power harassment by an upperclassman.The bereaved family and the revue have decided on the extent to which they accept that this constitutes power harassment. Discussions are underway to reach an agreement, with an eye toward an apology to the bereaved families by the senior students and the head of the parent company of Hankyu Corporation, which operates the opera troupe.

Regarding the death of a 25-year-old member of Takarazuka Revue's Cosmos Troupe in September last year, it is possible that the company was suffering from strong psychological stress due to long hours of activities in November last year. The company released the contents of an investigation report that stated that bullying and power harassment could not be confirmed, but that bullying and power harassment could not be confirmed.



In response, the bereaved family claims that there were a total of 15 incidents of power harassment by executives and upperclassmen of the troupe. He admitted that he had caused a huge psychological burden on the members of the troupe.



Since then, the bereaved family and the opera company have been discussing the extent to which they consider power harassment, and according to people involved, one of the points of focus is the senior student's apology to the bereaved family.



Kazuo Kado, chairman of Hankyu Hanshin Holdings, the parent company of Hankyu Corporation, which operates the opera troupe, has expressed his intention to apologize directly to the bereaved family, and the troupe is considering apologizing to the upperclassmen, as well as signing an agreement between the two parties. We are proceeding with final discussions towards the conclusion of the agreement.
