Actress Rebel Wilson's memoir "Rebel Rising" is scheduled to be published in April. In it, she accuses a previously unnamed actor of “asshole behavior” on set. On Monday she made it public on Instagram that this was Sacha Baron Cohen.

She writes: »I will not allow myself to be bullied or silenced by high-priced lawyers or PR crisis managers. The asshole I write about in a chapter of my book is Sacha Baron Cohen.”

Wilson also claims that Baron Cohen is trying to prevent the publication of her book. In a statement obtained by the Guardian, Baron Cohen's lawyers deny the allegations: "We recognize that it is important to be able to express oneself publicly. But these demonstrably false accusations can be refuted with extensive evidence, including period documents, film footage and eyewitness accounts from those who were present before, during or after the production of The Spy and His Brother.

Wilson and Baron Cohen appeared together in front of the camera as a married couple for the film, which was released in 2016. Back in 2014, Wilson reported on an Australian radio show about filming with Baron Cohen that he had encouraged her to get naked. When she refused, a double was hired. He was so persistent that she threatened to call their mutual agent and tell her about the harassment.

She continued: "Every day he said: Take off your clothes, it'll be fun." He also asked her if she could stick a finger up his butt in the final scene. 'I asked: What do you think, Sacha? “It’s not in the script.”

Whether she has more to say about filming with Baron Cohen will be revealed on April 2nd. Then the book should be published.
