Regarding children in medical care, a law to support children and their families was enacted in 2021, but in March this year, it was announced that there are cases in which parents are required to accompany children to school events, which poses a burden. The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications notified the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology to proceed with efforts to eliminate escorts.

The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology will expand budgetary subsidies related to the allocation of staff to care for children in medical care, and will also extend support to boards of education across the country, such as promoting the allocation of nursing staff and providing rides in pick-up and drop-off vehicles. We are planning to make this information known.
