Al-Qassam Brigades - the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) - broadcast new scenes of its fighters targeting the headquarters of the Israeli occupation leadership, its vehicles and soldiers in the vicinity of Al-Shifa Medical Hospital, west of Gaza City.
Al-Qassam fighters targeted Israeli military vehicles with "Al-Yassin 105" shells from different distances, and they were hit directly, causing them to burst into flames, according to the scenes shown by Al Jazeera.
The scenes also showed Al-Qassam fighters targeting the occupation command and control headquarters with snipers, using 12.7 caliber anti-fortified bullets, wounding at least two soldiers, and spotting one of the occupation planes hovering in the area.
Earlier today, Monday, the Al-Qassam Brigades said that it “bombed occupied Ashdod with a missile salvo in response to the targeting of civilians in the Gaza Strip.” It also announced that its fighters had targeted a Merkava tank with an “Al-Yassin 105” shell on Al-Rashid Street, west of the Tal Al-Hawa neighborhood in Gaza City.
Coinciding with the start of the Israeli operation at dawn last Monday, the Al-Qassam Brigades announced that they were engaged in fierce clashes with Israeli forces penetrating near Al-Shifa Hospital, and that they were “targeting a number of Zionist vehicles, causing deaths and injuries among their ranks.”
Confrontations continue for the eighth day between the Palestinian resistance and the occupation forces penetrating the vicinity of Al-Shifa Medical Complex, west of Gaza City.
The Israeli army had previously confirmed that its military operation in the Shifa complex is continuing, indicating that it is taking place with the participation of the 401st Brigade and the Marine Commando Unit, under the command of the 162nd Division.
Al-Qassam has been documenting its operations against the forces and vehicles of the occupation army - in various combat axes - since the start of the Israeli ground operation late last October, as Al-Qassam uses anti-personnel, armor and fortifications missiles, in addition to precise ambushes and precise sniper operations.
