“Now the magnetic storm is already on the decline, today it will subside,” the specialist shared.

He added that yesterday, March 24, the geomagnetic storm index reached its maximum values - up to 9. Today, according to expert forecasts, it will be 6-7.

At the same time, Abunin emphasized that it is impossible to separate the influence of terrestrial meteorological weather from space weather. Therefore, according to him, reports that human well-being depends on magnetic storms can be regarded as guesswork and speculation.

“I believe that a normal healthy person, in principle, cannot feel the influence of space weather on himself. In space, that's a different question. There is radiation, but on Earth they are protected by the Earth's magnetic field and the Earth's atmosphere. Therefore, you should not worry about this,” concluded RT’s interlocutor.

Earlier, Abunin, in a conversation with RT, said that solar flares of large classes, according to statistics, are most often recorded at the moment of maximum solar activity.
