Sun Qixiang, a professor at the School of Economics at Peking University, said in his speech in the "Group Discussion II" session: The development of the big health industry is a major strategic issue related to the overall situation and requires Scientific top-level design.
Sun Qixiang talked about her understanding of the concept of big health from the three dimensions of length, width and height:
In one sentence, big health is a collection of all elements related to the physical and mental health of the people, which includes the three dimensions of length, width and height.
The long dimension refers to all health problems encountered by a person at all stages of the life cycle from embryonic development to birth to death.
A broad dimension, including demand and supply: from the demand side, it is related to the health needs and health consumption of individual citizens; from the supply side, it refers to providers of health products and services, such as the medical industry, medicine industry, health care product industry, health management service industry and health care industry.
The high dimension refers to a relatively complete health security system composed of macro, meso and micro organizations including the government, professional medical institutions, families and individuals.
Regarding the development of the big health industry, Sun Qixiang put forward four thoughts:

The second is to clarify the service objects of the big health industry.

The third is to give full play to the role of commercial health insurance.
Safety and security involves various aspects such as politics, economy, society, science and technology, and vigorously developing commercial insurance is an important force in the development of the health industry.
The fourth is to strengthen supervision to safeguard and protect people's healthy consumption rights.
To achieve the orderly and healthy development of the big health industry and protect consumers’ rights and interests in healthy consumption, an effective regulatory system is needed.
