  In order to effectively consolidate the results of air pollution control, reduce vehicle pollutant emissions, and continue to improve the air quality of the capital, the Beijing Municipal Government has decided to continue to implement working days (due to statutory holidays and holidays) from April 1, 2024 to March 30, 2025. Traffic management measures will be limited during peak hours (except Saturdays and Sundays when holidays are adjusted to working days). The relevant matters are hereby announced as follows:

  1. Official vehicles used by central state agencies, party and government agencies at all levels in this city, social groups, public institutions and state-owned enterprises affiliated to the central and this city within the administrative region of this city will be suspended for one day a week (0 hours) according to the last number of the license plate. to 24:00), the scope is the roads within the administrative area of ​​​​this city.

  2. According to the relevant provisions of the "Road Traffic Safety Law of the People's Republic of China" and the "Beijing Regulations on the Prevention and Control of Air Pollution", except for the motor vehicles within the scope of Article 1 above, other motor vehicles in this city are subject to the last number of the license plate during peak hours on weekdays. Regional restricted traffic management measures, the restricted time is from 7:00 to 20:00, and the scope is the roads within the Fifth Ring Road (excluding the Fifth Ring Road).

  3. The last numbers of motor vehicle license plates (including temporary license plates) restricted according to the above requirements are divided into five groups, and the restricted days are rotated regularly. details as follows:

  (1) From April 1, 2024 to June 30, 2024, the last numbers of motor vehicle license plates restricted from Monday to Friday are: 5 and 0, 1 and 6, 2 and 7, 3 and 8, 4 and 9 (Motor vehicle license plates ending in English letters are managed as number 0, the same below);

  (2) From July 1, 2024 to September 29, 2024, the last numbers of motor vehicle license plates restricted from Monday to Friday are: 4 and 9, 5 and 0, 1 and 6, 2 and 7, 3 and 8 ;

  (3) From September 30, 2024 to December 29, 2024, the last numbers of motor vehicle license plates restricted from Monday to Friday are: 3 and 8, 4 and 9, 5 and 0, 1 and 6, 2 and 7 ;

  (4) From December 30, 2024 to March 30, 2025, the last numbers of motor vehicle license plates restricted from Monday to Friday are: 2 and 7, 3 and 8, 4 and 9, 5 and 0, 1 and 6 .

  4. The following motor vehicles are not subject to the above measures:

  (1) Police cars, fire trucks, ambulances, and engineering rescue vehicles;

  (2) Public electric buses, inter-provincial long-distance passenger vehicles and large passenger cars, Beijing B section taxis (excluding rental vehicles), special postal vehicles, and vehicles holding tourist bus operation certificates issued by the municipal transportation administrative department , unit shuttle buses and school buses approved by the municipal public security and transportation management department;

  (3) Administrative law enforcement vehicles and special-purpose wrecker clearing vehicles with unified markings on their bodies and performing official duties;

  (4) Special operation vehicles for environmental sanitation, gardening, road maintenance, and emergency communication support, and funeral vehicles for funeral homes;

  (5) Vehicles with No. 1 plates with the word "Shi" and vehicles approved for temporary entry;

  (6) Pure electric passenger cars (passenger cars that use rechargeable batteries as the only source of power and are driven by electric motors).

  5. The traffic management of motor vehicles entering Beijing from other provinces, regions and cities shall be implemented in accordance with the relevant regulations of the Beijing Municipal Transportation Commission, Beijing Municipal Ecological Environment Bureau, and Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau Public Security Traffic Management Bureau.
