Chief Detective Alfred Hettmer, known from the ZDF television series “Aktenzeichen XY... Unsolved”, has already been the victim of a scam by a fake provider. »I haven't had any theft yet. But I actually once fell for a scammer on the Internet," said the former police officer to the "Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung."

“I wanted to buy a small Christmas present for my wife, a pendant for her neck,” said Hettmer. At a supposed online presence of a brand manufacturer, from whose official shop he said he had previously made several purchases, he discovered a special offer and ordered it. »A few days later, a primitive product arrived that wasn't worth ten cents. I probably paid around 80 euros.«

His credit card provider refunded him the purchase price. “I didn’t suffer any damage,” said Hettmer. »But I have personally experienced how easily I can be fooled.«

For many years, Alfred Hettmer was the second face of the show after presenter Rudi Cerne, head of the recording studio and detective at the Bavarian LKA. At the end of 2023, he ended his regular broadcast appearances and will only occasionally work in the background. At 69, he didn't want to give the impression that he had to be carried off the stage.
