The reporter learned from the Beijing Municipal Landscaping and Greening Bureau that Beijing currently has 1,065 parks of various types such as urban leisure parks, urban forests, pocket parks and micro green spaces, making it a veritable city of a thousand gardens, providing citizens with more and more Green leisure space. Ma Hong, director of the Park Management Division of the Beijing Municipal Landscaping and Greening Bureau, said that this spring, 132 unique flower viewing areas in parks across the city have been selected and recommended to facilitate citizens to enter Beijing’s spring and experience the green blessings of garden city construction nearby.

From mid-March to early May, the peach and willow bank on the West Embankment of the Summer Palace will be full of spring in early spring. The mountains behind Wanshou Mountain will be in full bloom with peaches. The peonies in the north and south of Renshou Hall and the National Flower Terrace of Foxiang Pavilion will display the national beauty and fragrance; In early April, the magnolias in the National Botanical Garden (North Garden) will be in full bloom, and 400,000 tulips will be in bloom from the end of March to the beginning of May. The 7.1-hectare special rose garden will display more than 1,000 varieties and a total of more than 50,000 plants. Ming City Wall Ruins Park in Dongcheng District is famous for its plum blossoms, with more than a thousand plum blossoms of more than 50 varieties planted in the park; spring flowers such as magnolia, cherry blossoms and crabapples are about to bloom in Longtan West Lake Park; the flower viewing area of Lianhua River Urban Leisure Park in Xicheng District Covering an area of 50,000 square meters, mountain peaches, green peaches, apricot plums, crabapples, etc. begin to bloom one after another from March, and the flowering periods of tree species alternate.
The temperature in the suburbs of Beijing is relatively low, spring flowers bloom later, passenger flow and traffic conditions are more relaxed, and the tourist environment is more comfortable. Tongzhou District Urban Green Heart Forest Park organically integrates native plants such as winter jasmine, forsythia, mountain peach, and mountain apricot with the 24 solar terms, creating landscape nodes such as plum blossoms at the beginning of spring and rainwater ponds; the spring flower viewing area of Yanshan Park in Fangshan District reaches 10,000 square meters , including tulips, hydrangea, frangipani, peach and other varieties; the kilometers of cherry blossom avenues on both sides of the north gate of Niantan Park in Daxing District, the peonies in Xingwang Park and the February orchids in Qingyuan Park are waiting for tourists.
While enjoying the spring flowers, major parks and scenic spots across the city also launched special cultural activities such as exhibitions and displays, science popularization, voluntary tree planting, and forest experiences to meet the needs of different age groups and cultural enthusiasts.
