China News Service, Wenzhou, March 24 (Zhang Yicong, Weng Qinglun, Guard General) In Zhejiang, beautiful villages emerge one after another, becoming the "Zhejiang model" for current rural revitalization. But more than 40 years ago, a "small fishing village" in Wenzhou took a completely different path - "from village to town, then removed the town and changed it into a city." Longgang completed the "triple jump" in economic size and was crowned the Named after a county-level city, this fishing village in southern Zhejiang is now picking up a hidden gem in cultural construction and has just begun its beautiful moment.

"The protagonist of the cool novel" recruits "partners"

Looking back at the development history of Longgang, it can be compared to the "Shuangwen plot" - starting with a village and counterattacking a city. Longgang is both the first and only one in China.

In the early 1980s, Longgang built "China's first farmers' city" with five small fishing villages. The surrounding "ten thousand-yuan households" who raised funds to build the city, as well as farmers who reclaimed wasteland, became the first generation of "partners" of Longgang. Today, Longgang’s 2019 demolition of the town and its transformation into a city is still vivid in our minds, and this original “farmer city” has once again been “partnered” to build a city.

In October 2023, Longgang City officially released the "Longgang City Partner" IP, further focusing on solving the problem of lack of cultural connotation of "urban size, rural face". At present, can the "young" city of Longgang make cultural construction from the outside to the inside?

Enter Linjiayuan Community in Longgang City. As Wenzhou's earliest trading center for Taiwan, a maritime commodity cargo transportation port, and a professional village for salvaging pure natural building materials oyster shells, the area still has more than 30 shipping ships and 100 Many people work in maritime transportation.

On March 9, 2024, the second Linjiayuan Community Maritime Culture Festival was held. The skill of "husking" reappears; the port market opens; Yue opera on the water is performed... In the Linjiayuan community, everyone is a "partner", and while the community's maritime industry has not yet faded, the maritime culture has already sprouted.

Close to Linjiayuan Community, Sanyuan Community was originally a "fishery economy" and has been lacking in new business formats for a long time. More than 10 years ago, Sanyuan Community’s Gantou Village gathered local “partners” and raised more than 2 million yuan. Since then, the scene of the deserted village has been changed, allowing B&Bs, restaurants, light luxury camps and other businesses to gather, prompting the acceleration of new business formats. The rural economy has taken root.

"There was not a single streetlight in Gantou Village before, and the roads were all bumpy yellow mud roads." Chen Zengwang, secretary of the second branch of Sanyuan Community in Longgang City, said that after the "partnership" joint construction, not only the roads were beautiful and elegant, but also Through the guidance of the United Front, after the old houses in the village were renovated, the "Kongjian Bookstore" became a public study room for local people.

While local culture is springing up, Longgang's cultural space construction has been on the road of "counterattack". From being known as a "farmer city" to reshaping a "cultural city", Longgang is striving to make the "town-to-city" worthy of its name. , the "splendid plot" of that small fishing village is still being written.

“Cultural space” attracts “returnees”

"I started learning art at the age of 16, and lacquer art became my 'boy's skill.'" He Bikuo, the inheritor of the intangible cultural heritage "lacquer ware" in Longgang City, Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province, said that he may be one of the earlier "lacquer ware" in Longgang City, Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province. People who "leave their hometown and return to their hometown" have now become one of the "partners" of Longgang cultural construction.

At the end of the 20th century, with the rapid development of the market economy, it was difficult for craftsmen to "rely on their skills to make a living". He Bikkuo chose to return to Longgang, the birthplace of his craftsmanship, and took root here, constantly studying the millennium-old lacquer art, and also exploring Developing innovative paths not only leaves a path for inheritance of this skill, but also pave the way to success for yourself.

By 2023, He Bikuo, who has already received many honors, will take "Chinese lacquerware" to Thailand, making lacquerware art a bridge for cultural exchanges between China and Thailand, and also letting the world see Longgang.

Before going to sea, He Bikkuo had already become the director of the Wenzhou Jiazhou Lacquer Ware Museum. "During the construction of the museum, I saw the 'Longgang Speed'. The small fishing village has become a modern new city." He said.

In November 2022, together with the opening of the Jiazhou Lacquer Ware Museum, eight major cultural venues including the Longyue Road City Study and the Cuihu City Study will be collectively launched. The construction of the above cultural spaces only took half a year. Longgang, a "farmer city" hidden in the city, is "awakening" into a cultural city.

Looking at the 8 cultural venues, among them, the Longyue Road City Study House was originally an old water plant in Longgang. After renovation, the collective memory of the older generation of Longgang people has become a cultural landmark in the hearts of the new generation of Longgang people. In recent years, Longgang United Front Force has participated in the construction of a total of 22 public cultural spaces such as urban study rooms, rural bookstores, and cultural stations, saving a total of nearly 100 million yuan in fiscal construction funds.

In addition, more young “partners” are looking for an “ideal location” in Longgang. A number of new models such as "study + coffee" and "rural museum + study" have been implemented, and new forms of intangible cultural heritage handicrafts such as lacquerware, shadow puppets and creative toys, and Wuyi red yeast wine have become Longgang's rich urban cultural connotation. .
