Cameron Diaz has become a mother for the second time: "We are blessed and excited"

Actress Cameron Diaz has become a mother for the second time. Diaz announced this on Instagram together with her husband, musician Benjamin Madden. "We are blessed and excited to announce the birth of our son Cardinal Madden," wrote father Madden in a shared post. The post is illustrated with a painted picture with the sentence in English: "A little bird whispered to me." The family did not want to publish a photo of their son, Madden wrote, in order to protect the child's privacy.

Diaz, 51, and Madden, 45, already have a daughter together, Raddix, born in 2019. According to media reports, Raddix was born through surrogacy. However, the couple never commented on this themselves.

Cameron Diaz is one of the most successful Hollywood actresses of all time. The film “The Mask” made Diaz famous worldwide in 1994, and in 1998 she shot “Crazy About Mary.” She starred in "Charlie's Angels" and lent her voice to the main character, Princess Fiona, in several "Shrek" animated films. More comedies and appearances in action films followed. Since 2014, however, things have been quiet about the actress.

In 2021, Diaz announced that she no longer wanted to make films in order to concentrate on her family. However, a year later she filmed with Jamie Foxx. At the beginning of March it was said that Diaz was in talks with Apple to star alongside Keanu Reeves in the planned film “Outcome”.
