Affected by the "23.7" catastrophic flood disaster in the Haihe River Basin, the town was seriously affected overall, and some plots of land had hidden dangers of geological disasters and house collapses. Tanzhesi Town, based on comprehensive disaster analysis and combined with the wishes of the villagers in the disaster-stricken villages, comprehensively formulated an off-site resettlement plan for the three villages of Caodianshui, Nanxinfang and Pingyuan. Among them, Caodianshui Village is an off-site resettlement for the entire village. Nanxinfang Village and Pingyuan Village are partial off-site resettlement.

"We seize the time, reverse the construction period, work on the wall chart, push forward various processes such as formalities and approvals, preparation of work and materials, and machinery entry, keep an eye on the quality requirements of the construction project, and advance the project steadily." Secretary of the Party Committee of Tanzhesi Town Yang Wuping said, "We combined the geographical location and cultural features of Caodianshui, Nanxinfang and Pingyuan Village to draw up the 'Landscape Pastoral Taiping Family', 'One Core, Multiple Points, One Ring and Three Corridors', and 'Free, Smart and Orderly' Three different design themes, relying on green water and green mountains, continuing the natural texture, inheriting cultural symbols, and combining safety and resilience, strive to create a beautiful rural model of 'Poetic Mentougou'."

It is understood that Caodianshui Village is an off-site resettlement for the entire village, with a land area of 9.23 hectares, and 261 households are planned to be resettled; Nanxinfang Village is a partial off-site resettlement, with a land scale of 7.9 hectares, and 144 households are planned to be resettled; Pingyuan Village is also partially off-site resettlement. Resettlement, the land size is 0.78 hectares, and 21 households are planned to be resettled.

Wang Kuo, the project leader of the construction company, said that the resettlement houses are all two-story buildings. The designers designed a variety of house types based on the needs of the villagers for comparison and selection. The main structure of the houses is low-cost, has good durability, and has good thermal insulation and sound insulation effects. It has a high-quality brick-concrete structure with mature technology. The roof adopts waterproof, moisture-proof and corrosion-resistant corrugated tile roof. The exterior design style of the house is simple and simple, which perfectly integrates with the old village and restores the local flavor of the building. At the same time, overall arrangements will be made for residential land, public service facilities, municipal facilities, transportation systems, etc., and a comprehensive spatial layout will be reasonably planned based on the future development of the village.

Tanzhesi Town is located in the southeast of Mentougou. It is a low mountainous area and is surrounded by mountains. There are rich cultural and tourism resources in the area, including Tanzhesi Scenic Area and the "Tangu Business District" where Internet celebrities check in. Tanzhesi Town took into account the development of the cultural tourism industry when designing the resettlement project, laying the foundation for building a boutique B&B cluster. The new houses not only meet the living needs of the villagers, but also have the conditions to open a B&B, which can turn a "house" into a "B&B", bring opportunities for family economic income improvement, and allow the villagers to both "live in peace" and "work happily".

At present, 80% of the site clearance of the reconstruction and resettlement site in Caodianshui Village has been completed, and 10% of the earthwork excavation has been completed; Nanxinfang Village has completed the collection of the original ground elevation of the reconstruction and resettlement site; 30% of the gravel piles at the reconstruction and resettlement site in Pingyuan Village have been completed %, 70% of the site's earthwork backfilling has been completed, and 1 roof foundation excavation and pouring has been completed.

In the next step, Tanzhesi Town will continue to strengthen coordination and linkage with construction units, coordinate the protection of rural landscape, project quality requirements, and safety production responsibilities, and accelerate the post-disaster recovery and reconstruction work in an integrated manner based on the construction requirements of rural B&Bs and agricultural tourism.
