The British royal family is in a PR mess: Princess Catherine - according to her own personal statements - edited a photo of herself and her three children more badly than well before publication, and the "Photoshop fail" caused a stir far beyond Great Britain. And now, of all times, Buckingham Palace is looking for a new assistant in the communications department.
A reaction to the photo disaster? For a starting salary of just under 26,000 pounds (around 30,000 euros) per year, the house is looking for support for 37.5 hours a week to promote "the work, the role, the importance and the value" of the royal family to a global audience . “The reactions to our work are always very public, so reputation and impact are at the forefront of your work,” the advertisement continues. Producing social media content is also on the list of activities.

Anyone who is interested in PR work, has an eye for detail and has excellent interpersonal skills can now apply until April 7th. Initiative and adaptability are also required - as is basic knowledge of Excel.

After the manipulated image was published, Kate apologized - and referred to her work as an amateur photographer, where she occasionally experiments with image editing. With the picture she apparently wanted to end speculation about her health.
The 42-year-old princess was admitted to a London clinic in January for abdominal surgery. Details about her health have not been disclosed, which has fueled a number of rumors and speculation about Kate for weeks.
In addition to the PR position, the palace is also looking for other employees - such as a new sous chef.
