On March 18, Lin Xiaobin said goodbye to his relatives amidst the blessings of his father, grandfather, and other family members. , embarked on a military journey.

  Lin Xiaobin is 19 years old and is the fourth generation of Lin family soldiers.

"My great-grandfather, grandfather, and father were all soldiers. I grew up listening to their stories of being soldiers."

  Lin Xiaobin's great-grandfather Lin Guochuan was an orphan. He joined the army as a teenager and participated in many battles. He took the lead on the battlefield and fought bloody battles.

After the founding of the People's Republic of China in 1949, he moved with the army to Changtai, Zhangzhou. After he was discharged from the army, he was assigned to work at Shiming Forest Farm. He died in 2007.

  Lin Xiaobin's grandfather, Lin Benhui, was influenced by his father and decided to join the army to serve the country.

He joined the army in November 1974 and served in the Communications Company of the First Garrison Division of the Fuzhou Military Region. During his enlistment, he was disabled due to an accident while performing a mission. In March 1977, he returned home sick.

  Lin Xiaobin's father, Lin Zhongfu, inherited the red blood of his elders. He enlisted in the army in December 1994 and served in the 32515 unit of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. During his service, he refined his professional skills and won company and battalion awards in the army, and was awarded the second grade of outstanding soldier. This time, he was awarded the title of Outstanding Four-League Coach and Outstanding Student in the teaching team. He retired from the army in December 1997.

  Walking into Lin Xiaobin's home, two plaques with "Glorious Home" are very eye-catching.

"According to my grandfather, my great-grandfather's 'Glory to Support the Army', photos and personal belongings were all burned when he passed away according to rural customs." Lin Xiaobin said that it was a pity, but when he was a child, he often listened to his grandfather telling stories about the Signal Corps, and sometimes told Great-grandfather’s story.

What excites him most is that he visits the old army with his father once a year to study, which allows him to experience what life in the military camp is like in advance.

  From the flames of war to peaceful times, from the fiery military camp to ordinary posts, Lin Xiaobin's family has always maintained the good family tradition of a military family.

Father Lin Zhongfu said: "My son has wanted to be a soldier since he was a child. This year, when he is a sophomore in college, his desire is even stronger, so we support his choice." Lin Zhongfu also said that his younger brother also joined the army and came back early for other reasons after joining the army. ;My younger brother’s son has also taken a physical examination and plans to join the army after graduation.

  Family tradition is the greatest wealth. The Lin family regarded military style as their family tradition and family motto, which deeply influenced Lin Xiaobin.

This year, Lin Xiaobin successfully enlisted in the army. He said: "I passed both the physical examination and the political examination. I was so happy when I received the notice to participate in pre-service education. I finally took over the 'military baton' and became the fourth generation soldier."
