A German paraglider pilot crashed into a cable car gondola in the Austrian mountains, fell and died.
A spokesman for the Tyrolean police confirmed that the 65-year-old woman from the Munich district died in the accident on Sunday in Hopfgarten im Brixental.
Shortly after take-off, the paraglider crashed into the gondola lift for an unknown reason, according to the police.
The paraglider and the safety lines lay over the cable car ropes.
The pilot initially collided with a gondola cabin.
Then a gondola cut the line, the woman fell to the ground and was fatally injured.
According to police, two passengers in the affected gondola were slightly injured in the collision.
