As the winds strengthened, a series of fires broke out in Nagoya and Tokai cities in Aichi Prefecture, causing flames and smoke to spread.

The dry air is expected to continue into the 19th, and meteorological observatories and fire departments are urging people to be careful when handling fires.

Around 3:20 p.m. on the 18th, a neighbor reported that smoke was coming from a private house in Yanagae-cho, Mizuho-ku, Nagoya City.According to the police and fire department, smoke was coming from a two-story wooden house. It means there was a fire.



Due to the strong winds, the fire spread to a neighboring house, and more than 20 fire trucks and other vehicles were dispatched to extinguish the fire, and the fire was almost extinguished by 5:30 p.m., about two hours later.



According to the police and fire department, the person living in the house where the fire apparently started was out at the time, and the person living in the house next door also evacuated and was safe.

Meanwhile, around 3 p.m., a fire broke out at a ranch in Arao-cho, Tokai City, and the wind fanned the flames, which destroyed a house and a cowshed on the premises.



It means that no one was injured.



On the 18th, a strong wind and dry advisory was issued in Aichi Prefecture.
