In recognition of the increasing need for specialized responses to child sexual assault, a facility will be opened in Tokyo next month where professionals from medical institutions will be able to provide sexual counseling to young people.

A preview was held on the 17th of the new facility, ``Youth Wellness KuKuNa,'' which will be opened next month by ``Matsushima Hospital'' in Edogawa Ward, Tokyo, which has been involved in supporting people who have suffered sexual assault. Ta.

The facility has a private consultation booth that accepts consultations on sexual assault and general sexual concerns among young people, and provides referrals to treatment and government support as needed.

The target audience is young people from elementary school to their 20s and their guardians, and since there are cases in which sexual assault committed during childhood is noticed many years later, people of any age can seek counseling.

In addition to individual consultations that require a 30-minute appointment for 500 yen, there is

also a free, no-reservation-necessary meeting called the ``Town Health Room,'' which is attended

by specialized midwives several times a month.

Your parents or school will not be informed that you came for counseling.

According to hospitals, sexual counseling facilities for young people are being established in some countries overseas, but there are still very few in Japan.

Wakana Kozaki, a midwife who provides consultations, said, ``There are very few places where children can talk about their concerns about sexuality. You don't have to say anything you don't want to say, so I want you to come and try it first.''
