In 2023, the turnover of the
OnlyFans
company stands at 1,000 million euros.
Behind it, a single owner of whom only one image exists: the Ukrainian
Leoni Radvinsky
who bought what they call
"the social network of sex"
in 2018. It is estimated that his fortune amounts to 2,000 million euros.
His main income: the 20% he takes from each of the income of the content creators who are part of
OnlyFans
.
It was taking a long time for
the research team
to enter this social network that in 2019 had
350,000 content creators
and currently has
more than three million
.
With the title
OnlyFans, the network of temptations
, Glòria Serra
's team
has delved into the depths of this mysterious, but million-dollar social network.
Not only does the program broadcast last night speak with several of those creators, but it also uncovers the big lies hidden behind it.
And what is discovered is scary.
In fact, although at first it may seem that what is shocking are the
scandalous amounts of money
that can be earned from subscribers, tips or personalized content,
Gòria Serra
's investigation uncovers that not all that glitters is gold.
"If making money were easy, everyone would be a millionaire," says the one who calls himself
The King of OFM
(
OnlyFans
Magnament). Based in Andorra,
The King of OFM is one of the thousands of
OnlyFans
content creator agents.
What is his job? Represent a good number of girls to whom his team and himself give "advice" to increase their number of subscribers.
"I don't think it matters if it's prostitution or not."
"I turned 18 and the same day I created an OnlyFans account
. "
The one speaking is Eli, "who has a 100,000 euro car and doesn't even have a license," according to his representative, one of the girls from
El rey de OFM
.
"We are going to read the RAE's definition of prostitution," says one of the editors of the Investigation Team.
"Activity of someone who has sexual relations with other people in exchange for money."
"Do you consider that what your girls do on OnlyFans is prostitution?" He asks her next.
"I don't think it matters if it's prostitution or not
," she responds.
The king of OFM
takes between 30% and 50% of what his "models" bill, as he calls the girls he represents.
The Research Team's question was more than obvious: "If you are taking 50% of the profits, does
that mean you are practicing prostitution?
"
"As a matter of definition, if it is prostitution, yes."
Everything is said.
It is not the only business of this representative.
Furthermore, in his apartment, "located in the best area of Andorra", he has a school where he teaches courses at "997 euros per month" to become a representative of
OnlyFans
creators .
He claims that now he himself has 400 students.
Total: 400,000 euros per month.
The business behind
OnlyFans
.
And it's not the only one.
How OnlyFans
works
is simple.
Through other social networks such as Instagram or TikTok, content creators make themselves known.
On Instagram videos, let's say, light;
on TikTok, videos that are a little more suggestive;
The next step is
OnlyFans
, "a private adult-only platform" through which a creator can request whatever amount of money he wants from his subscribers.
Cecilia Sopeña
is one of those creators.
A former mathematics teacher, she began uploading videos to social networks of her bike routes through Cartagena (Murcia).
One day, in one of those videos, she was very hot and unzipped the shirt she was wearing.
She began to receive countless comments with erotic content and that was when she decided that she was sexualizing her without intending to.
"So if they want to sexualize me, I'm not going to consent to it without my permission," she tells
Investigative Team
.
He opened his
OnlyFans
account where he answers messages from his subscribers, uploads daily erotic videos and with which he has managed to earn so much money that he has paid for a town house, the apartment he lives in, the renovation, the place where he keeps his caravan... "Now I don't have money because I have done badly with the Treasury," he says.
It has not been the only danger she has run.
She controls everything she publishes and who she gives access to her account, but in that sea of people no one is safe no matter how much screen she has in her midst.
One fine day, a follower showed up at her house.
Called the Police, he reported her and, although she did not tell the
Investigation Team
, she was probably also afraid.
500 euros for having a coffee
She is not the only creator who appears in the investigation of the laSexta program.
Miguel Guerrero
, former soccer player and former tempter from
The Island of Temptations
.
One day he posted a video doing a Rawl Alejandro dance, in a matter of hours he had millions of comments.
He didn't think about it: to
OnlyFans
.
In six months, the date on which he created his profile, he has gained more than
10,000 subscribers
who religiously pay
9.99 euros
per month each month , to which we must add private videos or what they call premium content, much more.
content for which you can pay from 400 to 1,200 euros.
Miguel
was even offered 500 euros to have a coffee
with him: "I didn't want anything sexual, but the fact of meeting me...".
It is the only time she has had an encounter outside of the distance offered by the screens.
Miguel is one of the creators who succeed on
OnlyFans
.
After paying 20% of his income to
OnlyFans
, his latest earnings account exceeded 85,000 euros.
"There is not a month that the figure I earn drops below five figures," he reveals to
Investigation Team
.
It is the goose that lays the golden eggs, the reason why many young women (97% of the profiles are women) turn 18, like Eli, and the first thing they do is create a profile on the social network.
He is the tinsel of
OnlyFans
.
Not everyone who is on
OnlyFans
earns amounts as stratospheric as those of
Miguel
,
Cecilia
or
Gemma McCourt
, the Spanish content creator who earns the most money on
OnlyFans
: "22 times more a month than a doctor."
In her profile, the hooks are measuring penises, so she charges 3 euros for each score.
Behind there much more.
"Whoremongers have moved to digital borders
," Eva Márquez, Diaconía's anti-trafficking director, tells the program.
Therein lies the danger of
OnlyFans
, believing that you can earn large sums of money without measuring the risk and without thinking that reality is never as bright as they show it.
Investigation team locates a young man who created an
OnlyFans
profile believing he would earn enough money.
After two months he had only earned 400 euros.
He covers his face, it "embarrasses" him.
When he wanted to stop, he realized that any subscriber or anyone who had paid for the content he uploaded to the social network could record it, take screenshots, and upload it elsewhere.
OnlyFans
doesn't set limits.
"These images will always haunt you for life," says Cecilia Sopeña during the report.
And on the other side?
The subscribers.
80% of them men
.
Men who spend more than 90% of their salary on subscriptions to the social network, on private videos, even on gifts for the women they follow.
And inside?
A giant spider web where not only are the creators, subscribers and representatives, there are also the so-called
chatters
, chatters subcontracted to impersonate the creators.
The investigation team
goes to one of these companies in an apartment in Barcelona.
No one.
They speak with the owner of the company and it is he himself who assures that they cannot speak to any
chatter
because they are all outside of Spain.
A fraud?
"I can't give you information about it."
How much can a good chatter earn: a lot of money.
Because on
OnlyFans
everything is motivated by money and sex.
Maybe the oldest business in the world?
