Police and others who were searching for two men who went missing after being caught in an avalanche on Mt. Daisen in Tottori Prefecture on March 2nd found an unconscious man halfway up the mountain on the 16th. Did.

The man was a 52-year-old company executive who had gone missing, and he was later confirmed dead, and police will continue to search for the remaining man on the 17th.

Around 3pm on the 16th, police and a search team from the Prefectural Mountain and Sport Climbing Association found an unconscious man halfway up Mt. Daisen in Tottori Prefecture.



The man was transported by helicopter, but was later confirmed dead.



According to police, this man has been identified as Toyofumi Takeda (52), a company executive from Hakata Ward, Fukuoka City, who was one of the two people who went missing after being caught in an avalanche on the 2nd of this month.



On the 16th, as the weather at the scene had improved, police conducted a full-scale search with around 40 people, with the cooperation of the Prefectural Mountain and Sport Climbing Association.



Police plan to continue searching for a man whose whereabouts are unknown after the 17th.
