On March 16, the Office of the Guilin Tourism Market Comprehensive Supervision Leading Group in Guangxi issued a notice saying that on March 15, an online platform released a video of a "secret visit to a 199 yuan four-day low-price tour of Guilin" and attracted attention.

Guilin City immediately formed an investigation team from the cultural tourism, public security, market supervision and other departments and rushed to the scene of the incident to investigate and verify the situation.

After preliminary verification, the tourists in this tour group are from Guangdong Province. The organizing agency is Guangdong Nanzhidu International Travel Service Co., Ltd., the ground pick-up agency is Guangxi Yuanmei International Travel Co., Ltd., and the tour guide is Zhou Moumou. The situation reflected in the video is basically true.

The travel agency is suspected of organizing tourism activities at unreasonable low prices and obtaining kickbacks and other illicit benefits by arranging shopping or paying for separately paid travel projects; the tour guide Zhou Moumou is suspected of forcing or disguised forcing tourists to consume and selling items to tourists. For violations, the Guilin Municipal Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism Bureau has filed a case against the travel agency and tour guide involved in accordance with the law.

The Guilin Municipal Market Supervision Department has targeted Nanxishan Park Science Museum in Nanxi District, Xiufeng District Guilin Yixintang Traditional Chinese Medicine Co., Ltd., Qixing District Jinxiu Silk Road Textile Co., Ltd., Qixing District Chaoyang Industrial Park Nianniankang Trading Co., Ltd., Xiangshan District Detian Life Plaza Guangxi Asia Pacific Leather Co., Ltd., Lipu City Maling Guzhai Silverware Store, Jiang Mou, a jade dealer in Wayao Town, Pingshan North Road, Xiangshan District, and others are suspected of falsely exaggerating the efficacy of products and medicines, and will be investigated and punished in accordance with the law. The above-mentioned seven shopping stores were closed for rectification and a case was launched for investigation.

Guilin City resolutely cracks down on "unreasonable low-price tours", deception and inducement of tourists to shop, and other behaviors that infringe tourists' rights and disrupt market order. It welcomes supervision from all walks of life and complaints and reports through the 12345 government hotline.

At the same time, the general public and tourists are requested to consciously resist "unreasonable low-price travel" and jointly build a good tourism market environment.
