The apartment where the writer-jazzman Boris Vian lived at the foot of the Butte Montmartre or the Son/Ré workshop of Pierre Henry, "pope" of concrete music: beyond the traditional rooms, the Paris Music festival, from Thursday to Monday, offers special concerts in atypical places.

A concert in the apartment where the writer-jazzman Boris Vian lived at the foot of the Butte Montmartre was given this Thursday, March 14, during the Paris Music festival.

This festival which takes place from Thursday to Monday offers special concerts in atypical places.

Boris Vian's former apartment, now inhabited by a relative of his widow, usually only received a smattering of visitors who had sent a cover letter to the latter.

For the first time, it is hosting concerts, each time reserved for around twenty privileged people.

“Many things that were created by Boris are still there. There is still his workshop which is basically in the same state,” declared Cédric Vian at the microphone of Europe 1.

“It’s going to be a first”

“For us, it is ideal to receive artists who come to profess their art in a place steeped in memory and culture,” added the latter.

Sanseverino will perform there on Sunday.

The singer-musician-comedian-comedian, renowned for his banter, his humor and his outspokenness, lover of gypsy music, tango, gypsy swing and popular songs, will perform his repertoire on Sunday, accompanied by his guitar.

“Boris Vian's or Django Reinhardt's or Jimi Hendrix's, I've never been there before, it's going to be a first,” enthuses the singer, happy as a child at the idea of going to this place that he will only discover “a few minutes before”.

“I’m waiting to go in first to see if I like it,” he jokes.

"I hope to feel a bit of Boris Vian vibes. I'm going to see that by discovering the decor, the books, the records. There are people I don't care to go to, even if they are famous , but there, yeah, it's incredible to go to someone like Boris Vian."

Another sacred place: the Son/Ré workshop where Pierre Henry composed some of his works.

It will house several electro sets, with only around twenty spectators able to enter this seraglio.
