International newspapers and news websites devoted large amounts of space to the repercussions of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, and the differences that began to increase between Washington and Tel Aviv, in addition to the unprecedented humanitarian crisis in Gaza, which threatens more than two million people.

The American magazine "Foreign Affairs" published an article by writer Jonah Blank, entitled "How can US President Joe Biden get tough with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu?" He said that Biden has not yet proven his willingness to challenge Israel in a meaningful way, but there are indications that He has become increasingly frustrated with Netanyahu.

He believed that if Biden wants to deal strictly with Netanyahu, he has a range of options, from withholding military aid to recognizing the Palestinian state.

For its part, an editorial in the Israeli newspaper "Jerusalem Post" considered that the United States and Israel should stay out of their respective elections.

According to the newspaper, "The Israelis are mature and intelligent enough to know what is in the best interest of their country. They do not need America's help in choosing their leaders, and the American people do not need interference from Israel."

In turn, the Washington Post quoted a senior US administration official as saying that what is happening in Gaza is chaos created by Israel, which bears responsibility for the mass starvation and lack of aid in the Strip.

The newspaper continued - quoting officials - that the crisis in Gaza stems from Israel's failure to develop a practical post-war strategy or plan for the consequences of the open military occupation, while the newspaper quoted an Israeli official that Israel has not yet found a new partner on the ground to provide aid.

The tragedy of the Gazans

In turn, the American newspaper "The New York Times" discussed, "The Palestinians' struggle for the basics of life in Rafah, as everything is difficult," noting that most of Gaza's residents fled to the southern Rafah area, hoping to escape the war and search for food and shelter.

She pointed out that Rafah - which has so far been spared the brunt of the Israeli attack - has become a new focal point for the war, which has entered its sixth month.

For his part, the correspondent of the French newspaper Le Monde in Jerusalem said that Israel wants to control the small amount of food that enters the Gaza Strip.

He pointed to the Israeli army's announcement that it was "preparing to flood the Gaza Strip with food", shortly after the bombing of the United Nations food distribution center, which the reporter considered evidence of the contradictions of Israeli aid policy.
