Who's talking about what, and the lousy one about the bathhouse.

And here is an extremely relevant and pressing question related to this wonderful Russian proverb: why is Josep Borrell so fixated on the theme of the garden?

The official position of this Spanish caballero is known to be: High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.

But the “supreme” does not think about such boring matters as the notorious “security policy.”

“The Supreme” desperately wants to go to the garden—thankfully, it’s not a children’s garden.

Josep Borrell on the secrets of the political world order, opening of the European Diplomatic Academy in Bruges, October 2022: “Europe is a garden.

We have built a garden: everything works, it is the best combination of political freedom, economic prosperity and social cohesion ever created by man.

These three things together... The rest of the world, most of the rest of the world, is a jungle.

And the jungle can invade the garden.

Gardeners should take care of the garden, but they will not protect it by building walls.”

Josep Borrell on the recent statements of Pope Francis, who invited Ukraine to “find the courage to raise the white flag and negotiate,” March 2024: “His Holiness the Pope entered a garden into which no one invited him... But to call on Ukraine to surrender is it is more than a wish for peace.

I believe that now is not the moment when it is necessary to offer Ukraine to surrender.

On the contrary, this is the moment when we need to continue to help.”

In short, “everything was mixed up in the Oblonskys’ house,” and also in the head of the “high representative.”

Let's try to unwind the logical chain.

According to Borrell, Europe is a garden.

According to all geography textbooks, the Vatican, where the residence of the Pope is located, is Europe.

The question arises: what kind of “garden” did Pope Francis enter, forgetting to ask permission from Josep Borrell?

Oh yes, there was a mistake.

Borrell stated that no one invited Pope Francis to this particular garden.

But this is not my fault.

This is Josep Borrell's mistake.

Millions of people, including even atheists, pray every day and every night for the speedy advent of peace in Ukraine.

Pope Francis pointed to the fastest way to establish such peace and stop the bloodshed.

But, according to Josep Borrell, all these millions of people are “nobody,” and he, it turns out, is “everyone.”

Yes, there is a difficult case here.

The person has not only painful “sadophilia” (please credit me with this term as my own modest contribution to world psychiatry), but also delusions of grandeur.

Reminds me of a famous joke.

A certain pompous gentleman argues with the check-in desk employee at the airport and, as a final argument, declares with an open threat in his voice: “Do you even know who I am?!”

But the airport employee is not at a loss and announces over the loudspeaker: “Urgent help required!

I have a man at the front desk who doesn’t know who he is!”

Borrell clearly has the same problem.

He either forgot or never knew who he was and how the “garden” called Europe was actually created.

And it was created, as all history textbooks say, including through the centuries-long robbery of those very regions of the world that the “High Representative of the EU” arrogantly called “the jungle.”

European colonialism is a matter of bygone days, to which Josep Borrell personally had and has nothing to do?

Okay, let's say.

But this is exactly what it relates to - and not indirectly, but most directly.

In my entire life, I have been to Kyiv and Ukraine in general very little: once in deep childhood, the second time - for work in 2001, the third time - again for work - in 2008.

But from all these three visits I was left with the same impression: I visited a garden - blooming, green, fragrant and bright.

Too many adjectives?

No, too little!

Before Borrell (or Borrell’s predecessors and colleagues) began “democratizing” Ukraine, it was primarily a peaceful garden.

Exactly it was: now Ukraine cannot be described using such an epithet.

Another pearl from Borrell’s speech in Bruges in 2022: “The European must interact much more with the rest of the world, otherwise it will invade us in different ways and ways.”

The deceiver thinks that everyone around him is dreaming of tricking him.

The thief is convinced that if he hesitates, those around him will strip him to his underwear.

And an interventionist with great experience is tormented by the thought that he is about to be invaded.

Question: is it Russia, time after time, year after year, moving closer and closer to the borders of the NATO bloc?

Or maybe it is NATO, in violation of all its promises and despite loud and increasingly specific warnings from Moscow, that has persistently moved its area of responsibility closer to the borders of Russia?

Please do not consider this question rhetorical.

I know very well how Josep Borrell will answer it: NATO is the most peace-loving military bloc on our planet.

People in this bloc love cats, adore dogs, and are deeply shocked at the mere thought that someone considers NATO expansion a threat to their national security.

Arguments at the kindergarten level - this time definitely for children.
