If found guilty, he faces up to 18 months in prison.

The artist's lawyers argue that these charges represent an abuse of the system and insult an innocent person "whose rights have been violated to the extreme."

Alec Baldwin was first officially charged with manslaughter in January 2023, but was dropped in April.
