The amnesty of the
process
that Congress approved yesterday by a very precarious margin of six deputies is not only
immoral
due to its original motivation - the exchange of impunity for power - but it also appears useless for the two objectives that the president himself set with it. after the general elections of 23-J.
The law does not open a stage of concord but rather
raises a wall of discord
, and does not even grant the
government of Spain
minimal guarantees of stability.
Eight months after
e that Pedro Sánchez decided to erase by letter the crimes committed by his Junts and ERC partners, the Organic Law of Amnesty, probably the most divisive law of those that have been processed in our country, came forward, at the second opportunity, in the Congress, with 178 votes in favor compared to 172 against.
The text - which still must pass through the Senate and return to the Lower House - went ahead with the opposition's frontal rejection;
with the disagreement of the majority of Spanish society and the judicial and academic world;
and above all,
with the explicit contempt of its own beneficiaries
to the supposed harmony that the Government proclaims.
The display of the pro-independence parties is turning out to be embarrassing.
Even more so after the latest transfers of the PSOE, which has
shielded even embezzlement, high treason and terrorism
.
«This is not an end point.
Our objective continues to be independence,” summarized Míriam Nogueras (Junts).
According to Republican Pilar Valluguera, the amnesty once again puts the independentists "in a position to face the "next step": "The exercise of the right to self-determination."
The amnesty prepared by the PSOE tailored to Carles Puigdemont was approved one day after the electoral advance announced in Catalonia has aborted the legislature of Pere Aragonès and threatened to also derail that of Sánchez.
The scenario that opens now is unpredictable.
The president has given up presenting his Budget and will be forced to govern via decree, agonizingly seeking the support of each of his partners in an uninterrupted electoral campaign, between the Basque, Catalan and European elections.
Spain thus delves into the instability that has distinguished, divided and impoverished the disruptive Catalonia of the last decade.
In Catalonia, the wind blows in favor of Junts and its spiritual leader: a fugitive with messianic and anti-system overtones who has brought down the Government.
In this context, it would be highly irresponsible if the constitutionalist space did not participate together with 12-M.
After the abandonment of the PSOE and the PSC, which have embraced a narrative that calls those who limit themselves to complying with the law vengeful,
The PP and Ciudadanos, a symbol of courage and dignity in Catalonia, are obliged to articulate a joint candidacy.
