Palestinians carry empty utensils as they line up to receive food, distributed by relief organizations, on the second day of Ramadan as Israeli attacks on Gaza continue (Anatolia)

On March 8, US President Joe Biden announced that he had given orders to the US army to establish a floating dock off the coast of the Gaza Strip.

To receive ships loaded with aid to relieve civilians who are being subjected to systematic starvation by the Israeli occupation, in conjunction with a joint declaration by several countries: (the European Commission, Germany, Greece, Italy, the Netherlands, Cyprus, the United Arab Emirates, Britain, and the United States of America), about Their intention is to open a sea line from Cyprus to Gaza.

The American floating dock - which will be built by about a thousand American soldiers within 60 days, according to statements by the Pentagon spokesman;

Butt Rider - a necessary platform for large ships to unload their cargo, and then aid is transported by small ships to the “Ghazawi” mainland or via trucks using a floating bridge connecting the floating dock to the shore.

Noting that the Israeli entity will be a party concerned with inspecting aid and the security of the American pier - according to President Biden’s statements - which makes the occupation an essential gateway through which everything, small and large, passes.

Beyond relief

The tendency to launch a sea corridor - from Cyprus to Gaza, passing through the American floating dock off the shores of Gaza, and in partnership with major countries such as the United States of America, Britain, and Germany;

Not to mention the European Union – raises the obvious question;

Why do these countries, especially Washington, not oblige Israel and Egypt to open the Rafah crossing, behind which are piled up tons of aid and thousands of trucks loaded with relief materials that have been damaged as a result of procrastination and procrastination, especially with the presence of the Kerem Shalom crossing, designated for the crossing of trucks, and located on the common Egyptian border with The Gaza Strip and the Israeli entity east of Rafah?

Why does Washington not oblige Israel to receive aid ships through the port of Ashdod, located south of the entity and closest to the Gaza Strip, and then transport the aid overland via the Al-Mintar commercial crossing east of Gaza City, a line that falls entirely under the control and supervision of the Israeli occupation, if Israel fears the presence of parties? Other than her?

Aren't these solutions available, quick, effective, and less expensive if Washington wanted them?

So the sea corridor - despite its relative importance in the relief aspect, which will begin turning after two months - indicates the presence of other political goals and objectives, especially when we are talking about a sponsoring state with the weight of the United States of America concerned with controlling international politics, and drawing the broad lines in the Middle East and the Mediterranean Sea. Average.

Among those goals are:

First: President Biden’s announcement has a relationship, in its timing, with the electoral race to head the White House. It is a speech directed, in one of its angles and objectives, to segments of the American people who are angry about the performance of President Biden, and the position of his administration, which is involved in the crime of genocide in the Gaza Strip, by supplying an army. The Israeli occupation with weapons, political and financial cover.

The situation is;

An attempt to whiten his page and improve his image, which is stained with the blood of children and defenseless civilians, and to win the affection of those segments, such as the youth, liberal progressives, and Muslim and Arab minorities before the presidential elections next November.

Second: It will take about 60 days to build the sea pier if work begins immediately, which is the same period that occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu indicated in his statements to Politico (March 10), as the period required to eliminate the resistance and the Qassam Brigades in the city of Rafah. After his army was about to end its operations in the city of Khan Yunis - according to what was announced - meaning that the two-month period for starting relief would represent a cover and an extension of the period of aggression against the Gaza Strip, in parallel with the continued worsening humanitarian crisis as a pressure card on the Palestinians.

Third: Controlling relief operations - by Washington and Tel Aviv, which will have the right to security supervision and inspection - is an entry point for the Israeli occupation to control the management of the civil scene in the Gaza Strip, as a de facto authority, through the relief distribution portal;

Benjamin Netanyahu’s plan, which he announced on February 23, requires the creation of individuals, family figures, or legal entities qualified administratively to replace the Hamas movement, the national frameworks, and the Gaza government to manage the Strip. Aid will be a form of blackmail and pressure on a social environment suffering from starvation and thirst. And putting these segments and personalities before the options of saving their lives by abandoning resistance, or dying of hunger, and this serves the idea of re-engineering Palestinian society away from national constants and rights.

Fourth: In light of the lack of life opportunities in the Gaza Strip, after the destruction of about 80% of housing and infrastructure;

Such as hospitals, universities, schools, factories, municipalities, roads, and agricultural areas, and the continuing state of killing and massive internal displacement, which the occupation insists on deepening and worsening. The sea corridor and the American floating dock will be an international means that allows Palestinians to immigrate abroad, saving lives after the occupation destroyed all its components in Gaza, and this will be marketed as a humanitarian relief act, which will achieve the occupation’s goal of reoccupying the Gaza Strip with the smallest possible number of residents, as revealed by Netanyahu’s plan, and stated by Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gvir, Minister of Finance Bezalel Smotrich, and other Israeli officials.

Survival struggle

It is clear that the conflict and scene take on an existential dimension on the land of Gaza, which if the occupation succeeds in resolving it in its favor, will later withdraw from the West Bank and Jerusalem by emptying them of their population towards Jordan, if the Palestinians do not surrender to the will of the occupation and accept to be a population minority and not a people, living under the protection of The occupation, its conditions and standards.

This brings us back to the plan of Finance Minister Smotrich, which he announced at the beginning of the formation of this government, by announcing a tripartite that must be implemented in the West Bank, which requires the Palestinians to accept to live under Israeli sovereignty as a minority, and if they refuse that, they will be killed or displaced from this land, and what happened in the village Huwwara, south of Nablus - from an attack by thousands of armed settlers and the burning of its homes, farms and cars on February 26, 2023, under the protection of the occupation army - just a sample and model of what a Palestinian may be exposed to in the occupied West Bank, at a time when settlers are increasingly being armed intensively under the auspices of the occupation authorities. Israeli, and under the direct supervision of Minister of National Security Ben Gvir.

The steadfastness of the defenseless Palestinian people and their continued resistance in the Gaza Strip, and then the ability to activate forms of resistance in the West Bank, raise the pace of official and popular solidarity in Lebanon, Yemen, Iraq and the entire region, and strengthen the effective mass movement in the United States of America, European countries and the world, has become a necessity. Existentialism for the Palestinians, by transforming these activities and events into a mounting and continuous pressure force that exhausts the Israeli occupation to the extent that it cannot bear it.

Which in turn constitutes a turning point in the scene, leading to stopping the aggression, and then recognizing the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination according to international law. Otherwise, the occupation will continue the policy of starvation and the crime of genocide to impose its equation according to Benjamin Netanyahu’s plan, which means reoccupying and annexing the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. With the smallest possible population, after it is able to overcome the resistance and subdue the resilience of the Palestinian people through relief mechanisms, controlled by the Americans and Israel, which will serve as poisoned bread that kills the national will.

The occupation is searching for all the ways and means that will lead it to its goal, regardless of the values and ethics of wars and international laws, especially after it failed to eliminate the resistance or turn the popular support against it.
