Last month, the body of a 17-year-old high school boy was found in Lake Hamana in Kosai City, Shizuoka Prefecture, and the suspects, aged 21 and 18, who were arrested on suspicion of causing bodily harm, are suspected of drowning the high school student. Police arrested him again on suspicion of murder on the 12th.

The suspects who were re-arrested were Oto Horiuchi, 21, an unemployed man from Hamamatsu City, and an 18-year-old Philippine national.



According to the police, the two are suspected of murder for drowning Saito Ugawa (17), a second-year high school student, at Lake Hamana in Kosai City at dawn on the 5th of last month.



The two were arrested on suspicion of bodily harm and confinement for assaulting Mr. Saito in Hamamatsu City, confining him in a car, and taking him to the vicinity of Lake Hamana, but subsequent investigation revealed that they drowned Mr. Saito with murderous intent. He was re-arrested on the 12th on suspicion of causing the crime.



Police have not revealed the identity of the two men.



Additionally, on the 12th, prosecutors sent three 17-year-old boys from Hamamatsu and Iwata who were arrested on suspicion of confinement to the Shizuoka Family Court Hamamatsu branch.



Horiuchi and the other five suspects were together at a friend's house in Hamamatsu City where Saito was visiting on the day of the incident, and police believe there was some kind of trouble and are investigating the circumstances of the incident.
