The Oscars ceremony dedicated Christopher Nolan's film, "Oppenheimer" which won seven awards.

This evening also marked a new triumph for “Anatomy of a Fall”.

Justine Triet's film won the prize for best screenplay.

A new trophy to place on an already well-stocked fireplace.

An extraordinary journey for the film "Anatomy of a Fall", a journey which even ends in style, this Sunday evening in Los Angeles, with the Oscar for best screenplay received by Henri Harari, the companion of the director, Justine Triet.

They wrote this legal drama together during Covid.

“What an honor!”

“Thank you very much, this should help me get through the mid-life crisis. What a crazy year!” exclaimed the director when receiving her prize.

"I want to thank the entire cast: Sandra, Souad, Antoine, the whole team for what you did on the set, for this script. You delivered and that's what's best for an author , a director. Thank you very much. What an honor."

Justine Triet becomes the first French director rewarded by Hollywood.

The Oscar is the prize that moved her the most, she confided on Sunday night.

“Anatomy of a Fall” has won around fifteen awards, from the Golden Globes to the BAFTAs, the British awards, including the Palme d’Or at Cannes and five Césars.

Hollywood is seduced by Justine Triet, who not only leaves with an award.

We haven't had such a French success in Hollywood since "The Artist".

Michel Hazanavicius' film won five statuettes, including best film and best actor for Jean Dujardin.

“French pride”

The President of the Republic, Emmanuel Macron, who did not congratulate Justine Triet after her Palme d'Or in May in Cannes, did so on Monday for her Oscar for best screenplay obtained for "Anatomy of a Fall" in Los Angeles with a message on the social network X (formerly Twitter).

Anatomy of a triumph: Palme d’Or, César and Oscar for best original screenplay.

Congratulations to Justine Triet and her team.

In May, Justine Triet became, with this film, the third director in history to win a Palme d'Or and took advantage of the Cannes platform to denounce the "dominant, increasingly uninhibited power" of the head of the State and its government.

She had accused the executive of having “shockingly denied” the protest against the pension reform in winter 2023, but also of wanting to “break the cultural exception without which (she) would not be here today ".

The President, contrary to custom, did not express his congratulations and the Minister of Culture at the time, Rima Abdul Malak, said she was "stunned" by his speech.

Emmanuel Macron finally congratulated the director in January, on the occasion of the two Golden Globes won by the film.

Justine Triet then also made a splash at the Césars, with six distinctions, including those for best film and best direction.
