The event attracted nearly 2,000 athletes from Guizhou, Beijing, Guangdong, Macau, Heilongjiang, Yunnan and other places to participate enthusiastically, challenge mountain climbing racing, and experience the beauty of Mount Fanjing, the "first peak in Wuling".
The total length of this Fanjing Mountain Spring Climbing Race is 14.1 kilometers. The track is a combination of winding mountain roads and hiking trails. The hiking trails cover thousands of steps and the altitude gradually climbs from 522 meters to 2248 meters, which is extremely challenging.
At 9 o'clock on the same day, the competition started. The contestants started from the Lotus Square at the east gate of Mount Fanjing, ran for 9 kilometers along the winding mountain road, and then climbed a 5-kilometer hiking trail to reach the finish line at Pudu Square of Mount Fanjing.
