The head of a private tutoring school run by the major cram school company ``Eiko'' was arrested by the Metropolitan Police Department for secretly filming a woman in the bathroom of the building where the school is located.
The person arrested was Yusuke Washio (46), the former head of the Takadanobaba school of ``Eiko no Individual Visabi'', a private tutoring school run by the major cram school ``Eiko''.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department, in January of this year, he is suspected of attaching a smartphone to the ventilation fan of the women's restroom of the building where the cram school is located and secretly taking sexual photos of two women.
He connected his smartphone to his work computer via video call, and recorded what was happening inside the toilet on his tablet.
In response to an investigation by the Metropolitan Police Department, he admitted to the charges, saying, ``I secretly filmed multiple women starting around June last year.I wanted to see the lower bodies of female acquaintances that I liked.''
A toilet user found a hidden smartphone and reported it, and the Metropolitan Police Department investigated.
The former classroom principal had been working at this classroom since December of last year, and was fired last month when the incident was discovered.
The Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department is conducting a detailed investigation as videos of multiple women were stored on the tablet device.
Regarding the arrest of the former head of the school, Eiko said, ``The act of damaging the cram school environment, which should be safe, is extremely regrettable, and we deeply apologize to those affected. We will strengthen training and install more security cameras.'' We will work to prevent it from happening again."
