Last January, during the reshuffle, rumors spread about the possibility that Claire Chazal would join the Ministry of Culture.

If the position is ultimately sought by Rachida Dati, the journalist returned to these rumors, which she considers "probably not" unfounded.

Could she have made her debut in politics?

During the reshuffle last January, rumors around the possible entry of Claire Chazal into Gabriel Attal's government multiplied.

If ultimately, the position for which the journalist was approached - namely Minister of Culture - was entrusted to Rachida Dati, Claire Chazal returned to this rumor at the microphone of Europe 1-Culture Médias.

If the former TF1 news presenter thinks she was one of the candidates for the position, she assures that she did not receive a direct call from the government team.

“It doesn't happen like that, it's very complicated to form a government. People are approached because we know their interest in the subject, and I think that was the case,” explains -she at the microphone of Thomas Isle.

“Until it’s done, it’s not done.”

“Afterwards, there are negotiations which are complicated, political balances to be respected and things get done. As long as it is not done, it is not done. There is no promise, it can exist in the minds of leaders and not be formally decided. That’s how it is,” continues the journalist.

For Claire Chazal, the rumor was “probably not” unfounded.

As for her possibility of one day becoming Minister of Culture, the 67-year-old journalist mentioned it a few weeks ago in an interview with

: "It's something that I could accept if it was given to me. concretely proposed, but it would only be for this position,” she declared.
