Sandra Hülser visits the Chanel party for this year's Oscars.

But she took on a modeling job for another brand

Her eyes are hidden behind sunglasses, her hair is slicked back, she keeps her arms crossed, the jacket makes the small of her back appear wide, and a black skirt narrows her legs.

The pose is reminiscent of the iconic Oscar trophy, which will be awarded several times at the Academy Awards in Hollywood this Sunday evening.

And that is certainly intentional: Actress Sandra Hülser, who is herself nominated for one of the awards as best actress, is posing here.

British designer Phoebe Philo is responsible for the look, making Hülser one of the faces of her new campaign.

Philo is a former creative director of Céline and started her own label in 2022.

The first photos of the new collection were published on the Instagram account a few days ago.

In the first photo, Hülser appears much more casual, wearing hardly any make-up, a rolled-up shirt and flip-flops.

The new outfit in the Oscar pose is probably a little closer to the one she actually wore at the awards ceremony in the evening.

The film and fashion worlds are closely linked and Hülser now appears more often in the latter too.

Louis Vuitton, for example, outfitted Hülser for the Golden Globes, the BAFTA Awards and the César Awards.

At Fashion Week in Paris, she sat in the front row at the house's show, as well as at Balenciaga, reports "Vogue."

But you can also see her in Bottega Veneta, Chanel, Rosie Assoulin and Valentino.

In the run-up to the Oscars, she also attended Chanel and Louis Vuitton parties.

But much more exciting than the question of the look for the award ceremony is whether Hülser can win the most coveted film award.

Hülser competes with Emma Stone (“Oppenheimer”), Annette Bening (“Nyad”), Carey Mulligan (“Maestro”) and Lily Gladstone (“Killers of the Flower Moon”).

Hülser is nominated for her role in the French legal drama “Anatomy of a Case”.

In it she plays a German writer who lives with her husband and child in the French Alps.

When her husband is found dead in the snow, she becomes the prime suspect.

She is also involved in a second Oscar contender: the British production “The Zone of Interest” is nominated for best international film.

In it, Hülser takes on the role of the wife of Auschwitz commandant Rudolf Höß.

Both films are nominated for five Oscars each.

At the reception for the German Oscar candidates on Saturday evening, Hülser told hundreds of guests that she was very happy to be here.

And she is really looking forward to where she will be tomorrow.

“Maybe I’ll go,” she joked.
