Sitting on a garden chair and dressed in jeans, a sweater and a dark jacket, the image shows the Princess of Wales smiling, surrounded by her three children, George, Charlotte and Louis, laughing.
The photo was taken by Prince William, according to the accompanying caption.

"Thank you for your wishes and continued support over the last two months. I wish everyone a happy Mother's Day", celebrated in the United Kingdom this Sunday, further indicates this short message, signed "C" (for Catherine ).
In a statement, the palace specifies that the photo was taken "in Windsor earlier this week", while the princess's last public appearance dates back to the royal family's Christmas mass at Sandringham.
