The military and strategic expert, Major General Fayez Al-Duwairi, said that the Israeli occupation army’s justification for killing an unarmed elderly man in his home in the northern Gaza Strip is “false” and confirms its criminal ideology.
According to the newspaper "Haaretz", the occupation army admitted to killing the defenseless elderly man, of whom Al Jazeera published a video clip of his execution in a house west of Gaza City (north of the Strip), and claimed that its forces were operating in a complex combat zone when they killed him.
Al-Duwairi explained - in an analysis for Al Jazeera - that the video showed the soldier confessing to killing the elderly Palestinian after it was proven to him that he was unarmed and pointed at him with his empty hands, while his commander praised him, and then they returned and shot his body again, and they were acting comfortably and there were no clashes, which is what He emphasizes that work is not individual.
The military expert stressed that this operation and the army’s justification for it confirm that it is a criminal operation emanating from the doctrine of this army, which is considered an extension of the pre-1948 occupation gangs, and it is an extension of its terrorist acts and not the first of its kind.
Not serious investigation
Regarding the army’s confirmation that it will investigate the circumstances of the elderly man’s killing, Al-Duwairi said that he does not expect a serious investigation to be conducted, and precedents also confirm this, as in the investigation of the flour massacre that took place in the Nabulsi roundabout, and the investigation into the killing of Al-Jazeera correspondent Sherine Abu Aqla.
Al-Duwairi stressed the need to deliver these and similar clips to the State of South Africa and attach them to the file accusing the occupation of committing genocide against the people of the Gaza Strip before the International Court of Justice.
The scenes - which were filmed by an Israeli soldier's camera - showed the moments when the soldiers stormed the house and killed this man, who was present alone in the house.
Al Jazeera was able to identify the elderly man who was executed by the occupation soldiers and they confessed to this, and obtained new details revealing that the occupation soldiers killed 50 civilians in the same area.
It turned out that the martyr who appeared in these photos - which Al Jazeera revealed yesterday, Friday - is Atta Ibrahim Al-Muqqid, who is deaf and aged 73 years.
