On Saturday, March 9, the winners of the Golden Raspberry anti-award for 2023 were announced.

The leader in the number of figurines in the form of a berry covered with gold paint was the slasher film (a horror film in which a psychopathic killer commits many sophisticated crimes) “Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey.”

The authors and characters of the project were awarded anti-awards in all five categories in which they were presented.

As the organizers of the award note, the main winner appeared solely because the copyright for Alan Milne's character Winnie the Pooh expired in 2023.

Thus, filmmakers were able to legally use the classic work.

In the story, Christopher Robin, who makes friends with talking animals, grows up and goes to college.

Winnie the Pooh and Piglet perceive this as a betrayal, harbor a grudge against their former friend and the whole world and begin to kill everyone who happens to be in their forest.

Years later, Christopher Robin returns to those places, and the animals decide to take revenge on the offender.

The film was recognized as the worst film of the year, as well as the most unsuccessful remake, plagiarism or sequel.

In addition, the project was awarded anti-awards for the script and direction - Reece Frake-Waterfield ("The Killer Tree") was responsible for them - and Winnie the Pooh and Piglet became the worst on-screen couple.

The film was coldly received by both professional and general audiences - its “freshness” rating on the Rotten Tomatoes portal is 3%, and the mass audience rated it 50%.

The film grossed less than $5 million. At the same time, the project was extended for a second film, the sequel will premiere in March 2024.

Two statuettes - both for worst supporting roles - went to artists who appeared in Scott Waugh's film The Expendables 4.

The organizers of the anti-award were unhappy with the performance of Megan Fox and Sylvester Stallone.

By the way, this “Golden Raspberry” is not the first for both.

Stallone has been nominated for the award more than 20 times.

He received an anti-award for his roles in the films “Rhinestone”, “Rambo: First Blood 2”, “Rambo 3”, “Stop!

Or my mom will shoot" and "Spy Kids 3: Game Over."

In 1990, after the release of the film "Prison", Sylvester Stallone was recognized as the worst actor of the decade, and in 2000 - the century.

In 2016, he was awarded an award for restoring his reputation - then the artist received a Golden Globe and was nominated for an Oscar for his role in the film Creed: The Rocky Legacy.

Megan Fox 2023 brought two Golden Raspberries at once.

In addition to her role in the fourth “Expendables,” the anti-award was noted for her work in the crime action film “Johnny and Clyde.”

The actress played the owner of a casino, which a couple of criminals in love decide to rob.

Previously, Megan Fox was awarded the Golden Raspberry for her role in the film “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” and nominated for the projects “Jennifer’s Body,” “Jonah Hex,” “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2” and “Midnight in the Grain Field.”

The prize for worst actor went to Jon Voight.

The artist appeared in the action movie Mercy.

This year's Reputation Restoration Award went to Fran Drescher, president of the SAG-AFTRA union—Screen Actors Guild and American Federation of Television and Radio Artists—for her leadership of actors during a long strike in 2023.

Fran Drescher starred in the films “Saturday Night Fever,” “The Nanny,” “Jack,” “Ragtime” and many others.

The main role in the 1997 film “The Hairdresser and the Beast” brought the actress a Golden Raspberry nomination.

The winners of the Golden Raspberry anti-award, awarded for the worst achievements in the field of cinema, are traditionally announced on the eve of the Oscar ceremony, which will take place this year on March 10.

This year's nominees for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' Best Picture award are Yorgos Lanthimos's "The Lost and Lost," Christopher Nolan's "Oppenheimer," Greta Gerwig's "Barbie," Martin Scorsese's "Killers of the Flower Moon," and Martin Scorsese's "Maestro." Bradley Cooper, Anatomy of a Fall by Justine Trieu, American Fiction by Cord Jefferson, Past Lives by Celine Sohn, The Leftovers by Alexander Payne, and Zone of Interest by Jonathan Glaser.

The acting nominations include Emma Stone (“The Unfortunate”), Sandra Hüller (“Anatomy of a Fall”), Ryan Gosling (“Barbie”), Cillian Murphy (“Oppenheimer”) and others.
