It is understood that after deliberation at the seventh meeting of the seventh council of the China Museum Association, the Special Committee for the Museum of Prehistoric Sites and the Special Committee for the Museum of Archeology and Sites were merged and reorganized into the Special Committee for the Museum of Archaeological Sites.
The special committee is a public welfare and academic group composed of archaeological site museums, archaeological museums, scientific research institutes, enterprises and institutions related to archaeological site museums that are members of the China Museum Association.
The meeting also reviewed and approved the "Management Measures for the Archaeological Site Museum Professional Committee of the Chinese Museum Association (Trial)".
Li Gang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Qin Shi Huang Mausoleum Museum, looked forward to the key work and business development plans of the Archaeological Sites Museum Special Committee in 2024.
In the future, the Special Committee on Archaeological Sites and Museums will actively promote cooperation between China’s Archaeological Sites Museums and related institutions, carry out academic exchange activities, promote various professional researches on Archaeological Sites and Museums, and contribute to the high-quality development of China’s Archaeological Sites and Museums. .
