This Friday, March 8, Catherine Deneuve was invited to the ceremony to include the right to abortion in the Constitution.

Very moved after the event, the actress nevertheless moderately appreciated certain questions from journalists and did not hide it! 

Four days after the historic vote by Congress to include abortion in the Constitution, Emmanuel Macron presided over a sealing ceremony.

The event took place this Friday March 8, International Women's Rights Day, Place Vendôme, in Paris.

“We cannot comment on the reasons why we are here”

Several personalities were present, notably Catherine Ringer who, for the occasion, sang a  revisited

The star of Rita Mitsuko has indeed replaced “impure blood” with “a pure law in the Constitution”.

Another major personality present during the ceremony: Catherine Deneuve, signatory in 1971 of the 

Manifesto of 343

, a petition which called for the legalization of abortion in France.

The actress, who has always campaigned for the right to abortion, was obviously very moved and extremely proud to witness this historic moment.

Unfortunately, the journalists' questions did not interest her much.

Initially questioned about Monday's vote, the actress responded, very bluntly: "Look, we can't comment on the reasons why we are here, otherwise, I wouldn't be here. That's it, I think it's great" .

The second question asked to the actress did not have any more effect on her... "Are you moved?", she was asked.

His response, very tongue-in-cheek: “No, I have the flu.”

“Yes, it moves me, it touches me a lot,” Deneuve then added, before rebuffing journalist Paul Larrouturou.

To his question, "Are you afraid that abortion will eventually be called into question in France?", the actress replied: "Ah well no! (...) We are very French when we ask questions like that.”

The movie star then turned around, as if nothing had happened.
