Unknown perpetrators stole 65 piglets from the premises of a pig fattening farm in Kolbow near Grabow (Ludwigslust-Parchim district).
This was announced by the Ludwigslust police station.
According to the police, the perpetrators initially gained access to the company property by force on Wednesday.
They then broke into the stables.
Officials assume that the thieves then transported the stolen animals away in a vehicle.
According to initial estimates, the damage caused to the farm amounts to 6,500 euros.
The police in Ludwigslust are asking for information about this incident.
Theft is being investigated in a particularly serious case.
